Latest news on Vladimir Kara-Murza, a Russian political activist, journalist, author, and filmmaker who has been imprisoned since April 2022 for speaking out against the war on Ukraine. He was awarded the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize in October 2022. On 17 April 2023, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for treason and other charges linked to his criticism of the war in Ukraine.
