About our Travis Kelce news

Latest news on Travis Kelce, one of the best tight ends in the NFL, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, and has been selected to eight Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams. He holds several NFL records for tight ends, such as most seasons with 1,000 yards receiving, most receiving yards in a season, and most games with 100 yards receiving. He is also the brother of Jason Kelce, who plays center for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Travis Kelce was born on October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio. He attended Cleveland Heights High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was a quarterback in high school, and threw for 1,523 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior. Kelce played college football at the University of Cincinnati from 2008 to 2012. He redshirted his first year, and missed the 2010 season due to a violation of team rules. He switched to tight end in 2011, and had a breakout season in 2012, when he caught 45 passes for 722 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named First-team All-Big East and the College Football Performance Awards Tight End of the Year in 2012

Kelce was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, with the 63rd overall pick. He missed most of his rookie season due to a knee injury, but emerged as a star in his second year, when he led the team with 67 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns. He signed a five-year contract extension with the Chiefs in 2016, worth $46 million.

Kelce has been one of the most productive and consistent tight ends in the NFL since 2014. He has recorded seven consecutive seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving, which is an NFL record for tight ends. He also has three seasons with over 100 receptions, which is another NFL record for tight ends. He has been named to eight Pro Bowls (2015-2022) and four All-Pro teams (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022). He has been a key part of the Chiefs' offense, along with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Kelce has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, in Super Bowl LIV (2020) and Super Bowl LVII (2023). He scored a touchdown in both games, and had six catches for 81 yards in Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles. He is one of only four tight ends in NFL history to win multiple Super Bowls.

Kelce holds several NFL records for tight ends, such as most seasons with 1,000 yards receiving (7), most consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards receiving (7), most receiving yards in a season (1,416), most seasons with 100 receptions (3), and most games with 100 yards receiving (35). He also holds the Chiefs' franchise records for most receptions (814) and most receiving yards (10,344) by any player.
