Tekken 8 was released on 26 January 2024, and marks the eighth canon entry and the tenth overall entry in the Tekken series. The game's story, titled The Dark Awakens, follows the ending of Tekken 7 and focuses on the final confrontation between two of the series' main characters, Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. Tekken 8 was developed using Unreal Engine 5 and features upgraded fighting systems and mechanics, including the introduction of the 'Heat' system and 'Tornado' hits.
