About our NATO Summit 2024 news

Latest news on the NATO Summit 2024, a meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the NATO member countries, to be held in Washington, DC on 9-11 July 2024. The summit will commemorate the 75th anniversary of NATO, which was found on 4 April 1949 following the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty.

The summit is addressing a range of important issues facing the Alliance, such as:

- The war in Ukraine, including North Korea's exports of military equipment to Russia used in the conflict;
-Reaffirmation of Allies' commitment to military readiness and defence of NATO's territory;
- Discussion on new threats in the Middle East, namely the Israel-Hamas war and the Iran-backed Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.
