About our John Lydon news

Latest news on John Lydon, also known as Johnny Rotten, an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer of the punk band the Sex Pistols and the post-punk band Public Image Ltd (PiL). He gained fame in the late 1970s with the Sex Pistols, particularly for the singles "Anarchy in the U.K.", "God Save the Queen", and "Holidays in the Sun", which caused controversy in the media and established Lydon as a figurehead of the punk movement. After the Sex Pistols disbanded, Lydon formed PiL, which produced eight albums and a string of singles before going on hiatus in 1993. The band reformed in 2009. Lydon has also hosted television series, appeared on a reality show, and written two autobiographies. He has declined efforts to award him a knighthood or an MBE for his contributions to music, but in 2002 he was named one of the 100 Greatest Britons.
